Foundation Women of Faith

Women of Faith is a self established group of 40 Masai women in Kenya with the mission to become self sustainable and independent from their often violent husbands. By teaching the Women of Faith to make handbags out of their traditional fabrics, we have empowered them to pay for their children's education.
We buy the bags from them with high margins, in order for them to have money to pay for their family and daily lives, as well as mattresses and rooftops. Then, we sell the bags to you with a margin which saves for the education of the women's children.
At school the children will learn how to speak English, to write, read and count, and most importantly they will learn about certain values in life that might not be common in their culture. More specifically, at school girls will be protected from being sold as a bride at a young age, or the obligation to give birth to a child on a yearly basis.
Moreover, the women sell their traditional Masai jewellery to us in order to earn extra money for their daily lives.
In short; By buying a handbag you directly contribute to the education of Masai children. By buying the jewellery you contribute directly to their daily lives.
